Club 420 Explorer
In this five-day session, students will learn on-the-water safety, tacking, gybing, sail trim, and boat handling. No experience is required to enroll in the C420 Explorer class. This course can be taken multiple times. Each week your sailor builds upon the fundamentals of sailing.
Ages 13 – 17 (or under 13 and over 120 lbs)
Prerequisite: None!
Club 420 Advanced
Club 420 Advanced sailors are students who have taken several weeks of the Club 420 Explorer sessions and have shown advanced sailing ability. The Club 420 Advanced session is for students who are not yet ready for racing but would like to continue working on more advanced skills and techniques. Sailors will continue to work on points of sail and boat control. There will be more advanced topics introduced such as spinnaker sailing, reading the wind/weather, and other more advanced boat handling techniques.
Students will be required to demonstrate their knowledge on the first day of class. Anyone without enough experience will be moved to the Explorer class.

Description:
We are located at the south end of 1st Street in Riverfront Park, just outside the gate to the marina. There are a couple of buildings and many sailboats in the area. Parking is available on 1st Street.
Drop Off & Pick Up of Kids:
Staff will be on hand to scan your ticket at drop off and pick up of your student. Parents/guardians in vehicles can now drop off kids without leaving your car! Please print or bring up your ticket on your cell phone to speed the process. Ticket and ID will be required for pick up of youths.
Adult Students:
The school is your primary meeting point, but your instructor may give you alternate locations for parking and lessons based upon boat locations in the harbor.
